Before Your Appointment
A little preparation goes a long way. Taking care of your body beforehand directly decreases the pain and helps your skin accept the ink smoothly.
1. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water for 24 to 48 hours prior to your session. Hydrated skin holds ink better and heals much faster.
2. Eat a Solid Meal
Eat a full, protein-rich meal 1 to 2 hours before arriving. This stabilizes your blood sugar and prevents dizziness or fainting.
3. Sleep Well
Get a full 8 hours of sleep the night before. Being well-rested helps your body manage pain receptors naturally.
What to Bring & Wear
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. Feel free to bring a bottled water, a sugary snack (to boost blood sugar if needed), and headphones or a phone charger.
