Minors Policy
Idaho State Law has strict regulations regarding the tattooing of minors. Review the required documentation before scheduling.
Idaho State Regulations
Per Idaho Code § 18-1523, it is unlawful to tattoo any minor under the age of 14. For minors aged 14 to 17, a parent or legal guardian must be present to give informed consent in writing at the time of the session.
Required Identification
To perform any tattoo session on a minor, the parent/guardian must present the following documents at the studio. No exceptions can be made.
- Valid State ID/Passport for the Minor: Must display a photograph and date of birth.
- Valid State ID/Passport for the Parent: Must display parent's photo.
- Guardian Documentation: In cases of legal guardianship, court-appointed guardianship papers must be provided.
Studio Consent Form
Both the minor and the consenting parent/guardian must sign our in-studio waiver form before the tattoo artist sets up. We reserve the right to decline custom projects if the content or placement is deemed inappropriate for minors by our staff.
